Five Winners Announced for $5 Million Raise Your Hand Texas Blended Learning Grant Initiative

AUSTIN, TX (April 13, 2016) – Raise Your Hand Texas today announced the five school district winners selected as blended learning demonstration sites, each receiving up to $500,000 in grant funding over three years and comprehensive implementation support, through the Raising Blended LearnersSM initiative. Fifteen additional districts were selected as pilot sites and will receive implementation support without grant funding to promote the expansion of blended learning statewide.

Raise Your Hand Texas Launches $2.5 Million Blended Learning Grant Initiative for Schools and Districts

AUSTIN, TX (August 6, 2015) – Raise Your Hand Texas recently announced 75 semifinalist public schools and district applicants for its $2.5 million Raising Blended Learners grant initiative. Selected teams will attend two-day, expense-paid blended learning workshops in September and October 2015. The workshops will be led by Heather Staker, author of “Blended: Using Disruptive Innovation to Improve Schools”, founder and president of Ready to Blend, and adjunct fellow at the Clayton Christensen Institute, a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank and pioneer in blended learning.
